Scott Monument Edinburgh

Standing proudly in Princes Street Gardens is the Scott Monument, a Victorian Gothic marvel dedicated to Scottish author Sir Walter Scott and an iconic Edinburgh landmark. Built in 1840, it is one of the largest monuments to a writer anywhere in the world. It comprises of 287 steps and 4 levels where you can stop and admire the stunning views of Edinburgh.
