Winter tree, Holyrood Park

This lone tree covered in snow in wintertime stands in the Royal Park associated with the royal palace of Holyrood House and was formerly a 12th-century royal hunting estate. Scotlands famous and tragic queen, Mary Queen of Scots would no doubt have walked these grounds.
